What do non STEM majors actually do? Not trying to bait, but I've just always wondered what exactly is it that they learn, what classes do they take? Do they just write a bunch of papers?

>Game design is as hard if not harder than engineering
How should I deal with this level retardation?

Clearly then business majors are gods among STEM majors. 9 figures >>> 6 figures.

So I'm trying to learn for my exam in the coming months and I'm repeating some stuff.
Chinese remainder theorem, Miller–Rabin primality test, LaPlace, Lagrange-Interpolation, Fields and Rings...and a bunch more.

How do I learn them? I mean, in an efficent way that I won't forget them? Any methods here you can recommend?

>In EE program
>Statistics for Electrical Engineers
>bad teacher, poor theory, terrible book, nothing gained from the class except a C

I don't understand why schools do this instead of letting me just take it in the math department. I'm in an algebra/number theory course that explains the basics of college level math. (logic, proofs, congruences, binomial theorem, functions and graphs, rational numbers, sets). It's just the basics but I've been going over my old calc textbook and everything is so much easier to read. I recently bought a probability book with calc I'm reading now and with even the basics, it's so easy to understand. It's as if engineering schools don't want you to learn theory because HURR ONLY APPLICATION.

Engineeringfags get in here.

Tell me, how hard really is CompE or EE? (or biometrics, too) I'm going to major in biometrics engineering most likely with a dual in EE, and my friend showed me this pic. I know it's a common joke on here, engineers have no lives, biggest choice of cocks starting at 7 inches/year, etc. etc.

But how hard really is it? It can't be that bad. I figure if I really sit down and pound out all my math, programming work and all that, I can find plenty of time to go out at night and have fun instead of poring over books in my room. I took the IB program during high school so I'm well accustomed to working hard on a lot of shit at once so I figure it shouldn't be AS drastic as the picture implies.

How do you guys manage to recharge well enough to keep studying and take care of all your shit? I work 30 hours a week and go to school full time. Between classes and working I find I barely have the energy to do all my homework, let alone study ahead. Instead I just browse 4chan or watch tv. I usually don't even feel like I have the energy to play video games.

[spoiler]I bet not even /sci/ can solve this shit:

Prove that if the sum of two numbers is constant, then the sum of it's squares is minimum when the numbers are equal.

inb4 homework, it really fucking isn't. I did not make any mistakes quoting it, that's how it is written on the paper. The only hint I am able to give is it has something to do with derivatives.</spoiler>

My caucasian, non-overweight, and not below average sister wants to go into engineering. How do I convince her otherwise?

Pic mostly unrelated

How about a /sci/ comedy thread?
