On a completely different note, I just saw pic related and really didn't see that coming!

The thing I actually did in grad school when left to my own devices was much closer to distilling (Distill); understanding things carefully, compressing them, and then explaining them clearly. And I was frustrated by the sense that academic mathematics didn’t seem to have a place for me to do that professionally.
