hi /sci/ so let me share my story. I used to get good marks, came 1st in 7th grade ( i know its only 7th grade but still) went into high school, had no friends and was seen as a complete nerd. I decided to prove people wrong, became the class clown so people would think I was funny/actually talk to me and neglected school work. I still managed to get mediocre marks throughout high school until grade 11, by learning the day before and copying etc.

I got 50s for my previous maths and science exams in my june exams this year (11th grade)

I didnt even have a book to work in the whole year and did absolutely no work in class and copied when we had tests. So when the exams came I studied about 2 days before and got 50s.

I wouldnt say im stupid, because im not one of those people who study for ages and only get 50s. I get good marks for all other subjects besides maths and science, because they actually require practice. I would say im stupid for being such a lazy shit and neglecting everything for crap that wont help me in life.

Here's my situation, tomorrow marks exactly one month before my end of year exams start. Which I need to do well in because they decide whether I get into university or not. (I live in South Africa) I plan to change my life around and start studying for maths and science. The thing is I dont know how to study. Ive neglected my brain for so long and have become so lazy when it comes to studying.

Im in desperate need for help. Any study techniques I could try and use? any tips or suggestions? feel free to crap on me and call me an idiot and tell me that I deserve to fail, as I do. I despise my former self. I hate people like me.

Any of you in graduate school?

Please give us your opinion about it.
Worth it? Not worth it?

What program you're in, difficulty of getting accepted and what the environment is really like.
