Can anyone confirm or deny that this is true? I’ve had a lot of tests recently and, generally speaking, when I only get 2-4 hours of sleep when I wake up that morning I feel great, but my brain isn’t at “100%”. If I were to get 5-6 hours of sleep I generaally feel like shit, and still have the “not 100%” logical/thought process side of things with me.

I always assumed this was just because my body had to expend extra adrenaline to keep me awake past when I would normally be up, is this true?
