why is it though? what is "mental capacities", more in general? why can you measure "mental capacities"? and why wouldnt you pretend the same scientific rigor that you pretend when you measure the weight of an object? you havent addressed my two points at all, anonymous. you just have, again, stated something not verifiable on the same standards youd pretend scientific knowledge to be verified on (if you were a natural/pure scientist).

these are common examples. it doesnt "invalidate" anything (what does it even mean? have you ever opened an inference book?), simply it means nothing (but the linearity thing i was talking about) that two things are correlated
