when people start trying to tell other people what they can, and cannot due, and when they try and destroy scientific evidence and reason by undermining the systems they are built on. Such as trying to get creationism into science education. We all suffer, and an entire generation is made ignorant.

It impedes progress, it causes death, pain and suffering, and the effort put into fighting against fundamentalist retardation could very well be used much better in other places.
