why do people always care more about religion than? philosophy?

religion is more important than philosophy in politics, ethics, law, bio-ethics, war, diplomacy, logic, math, set-theory, neuroscience, consciousness science, etc.

consciousness science? looool
because there is nothing wrong ith science whereas philosophy is the negation of pragmatism, negation of reality.

Are you guys still doing the pissing contest thing?

This MUST be a haven of intellectuals and brilliant minds, seeing as you all still act like 12 year olds.

But really, the humanities go by the same method as mathematics/economics/hard science fields and serve a logical purpose. Just as physics try and explain our natural world, so does the humanities, except in their case its society.

Each field is as mentally demanding as the other. Your field does not dictate your personal merit.

Personally, I think good parenting can do more to help a kid succeed than genes. I know a guy who's pretty much a genius at everything he does (straight A's and shit in EVERYTHING), but his parents were at best average intelligence and they work menial jobs. What they did right was being good parents and fostering a strong sense of importance when it comes to education and shit early on in his life.

So yeah, most people can be successful if they only had good role-models or parents. Also, I am probably sure that most of the people who tout the same old "ENSLAVE ALL PLEBS"-line are themselves only average or slightly above-average intelligence.

This.

The steel structure would start to bend and finally give away when you combine the massive heat from ALL of the combustible materials in the building with the jet fuel.

What this 9/11 conspiracy really says about people is this: people are scared, and the thought of some saudi nationals being able to blow up what you perceive as being safe (a sense of safety is the second most important human need there is) makes people reach for a conclusion that'll make them "safe" psychologically-speaking.
