a million internets to whoever can simplify Holographic Principle and the idea of "Holographic Universe" as much as possible. I kind of get it, but something just doesn't add up. The whole idea of it has completely bent my head.

Hey /sci/

Im an average guy who was planning on enlisting right after high school and just realized how dumb that would be. Anyways long story short never thought of being anything else so dont really know what else Id like to do.

Anyway Im going to be going to a Community College when I graduate this year and was wondering what a good degree would be. Something to ensure a decent job with decent pay (not looking to become a millionaire just to live comfortably and raise a family). Im pretty average with math but with study can do well and I also enjoy sciences. Again not a genius or one of the smart guys just an average dude looking for some guidance.

Like most of general society, acedemia, or anyone with basic reasoning skills, I tend not to take the opinions of lit art majors too seriously. Especially when it comes to hard science, philosophy, mathematics, or anything that has any basis in reality.

Howver, the discussion is not so much a scientifc one. It is actually a critique on the compantibility of science with mythology/religion. I can take the Author seriously, regarding his expertice in mythological matters.

The Author makes a good point, on how religion is getting a little too outdated. It is fact that poplular religion changes itself to accomidate science.

From his study on norse mytholgy, and the statements of hawking, norse mytholodgy does seem more compatible with modern science.

In anycase, I agree mostly with the Author. Religion is not changing fast enough to accomidate science. If a pop religion doesn't change fast enough to accomidate reality, the religion will end up die out. I actually don't have a problem with any of the modern popreligions dyning out.
