As oil becomes more expensive less and less people will want to run their cars on it, along with fusion probably coming along within the next decade or so, which means nearly limitless power to electrolyze water into hydrogen and oxygen for hydrogen-powered automobiles. Solar and battery technology will also continue to improve and oil will just be phased out. I think Sweden is already planning to ban gasoline-consuming vehicles by 2025. While it ma hurt them economically in the short term Sweden will flourish after half the world goes to shit with expensive as fuck everything.

Can someone explain to me how exactly we plan to make human-equivalent AI, considering the whole broken promises thing that has been going on in the field for years. An exponential growth graph is not good enough, plugging enough transistors into the same room is not AI.

Also, what could we do to it, besides increase the rate and efficiency of its information processing, aka Intelligence? How do we make it more advanced, besides simply making it faster?
