It barely does anything simply because there's not enough power or power density to lift enough weight or produce enough force to properly maneuver in the ways needed for it to be useful. It is a helicopter. You're right, it'd be way better to use a single rotor. It'd need to be specially designed and not a conversion of course. Regardless, current battery to weight ratios puts anything you make under the 30 minute flight time mark. It is better to use combustible fuels until batteries are far better.

A few of my neighbors have Mosquito helicopters. One of their RC models is just about the same size as those. They are constantly flying around the farms with the Mosquitos landing willy-nilly in the fields. They are so small and light that you don't need to register or have a pilot's license to fly the ultralight versions. They have 1-4 hour flight time (60-250 miles) depending on the model you get and if you get extra fuel tanks.
