Cells have a cytoplasmic composition and an extracellular matrix composition. Metabolic recombinant proteomics are a meathod to change the compositions of the cytoplasmic and extracellular composition. Science needs to figure out how to couple metabolic recombinant proteomics via ionic gradients to correct the clockwork entropy of cell membrane yields. Could we crowd source these ideas to see if we can accelerate scientific advancement?

Is it possible that I have lived this life before? If that whole cyclic model of the universe is true..could that mean after I die all the atoms that made me and everything around me, pop up in another universe somewhere down the line? Even all the events, conversations and whatever be the exact same in this said universe. Could everything just be repeating? I might have even typed this out in a previous life in another universe. I dunno maybe I'm too drunk too think about this.

The 21st Century, the time belief is based on imperial, tangible and measurable results rather than asserted complications.

It has come to my attention of an interesting philosophical tenancy in science, where it is normal to favour a theory which describes something simpler, despite both theories (let's say, A and B) adequately explain X.

For example, let's say that theory A has three processes to which to explain X. Let's call these P1, P2 and P3. Now, let's say that theory B has only two processes P1 and P2. Provided that both theories have the same evidence and give an adequately conceivable conclusion, why is theory B of preference?

Is theory B more efficient? Is that enough to make theory B more favourable? Could it be that we, perhaps naively think that the physical world is simple?

Tell me, the rational and intelligent user of /sci/, why is there this preference?

Campaign to get this sorted out. We can leave you alone and vice versa. I'm sure it will cleanse out half the threads on this board.

Sup /sci.

I'm thinking about doing a PhD in mathematics and need your help. I'm approaching my 3rd year of engineering and realized that I hate not knowing the proofs to things.

I'm currently going through Elements to achieve a decent level of mathematical skill and then working up from there to truly understand where Fourier, Gauss, Newton et al were coming from. My "end game" is to master statistics and then apply concepts to quantum mechanics.

Can you guys help me out with a plan for my last 2 years? I've already checked out the sticky and I love it! I'm reading a couple of books on there but I find that school interferes with my education (lol Mark Twain).

Is there a certain order you guys can suggest for me in terms of what to read/what to learn.

I ordered a book from amazon called "Probability Theory: The Logic Of Science" because I heard it's very good but I'm going to finish Elements first.

THANKS!

But in life you can only know that you don't know anything. Therefore, life is about not knowing anything.
If life is about not knowing anything, then you have to believe things in order to keep up living, deciding what to believe according to your own insight and calculations.

Therefore life is about believing.

What i think is that time has a was of smoothing out everything, so whatever it is should not appear to be an over haul. teachers need to be cofortable to be efficient this includes slower change for whatever.

What is whtever? well i like tech schools and wish they were more widely integrated into the sytem, especially high school. Even if you were "too smart for tech" you should have some sort of technical, real-world, hands on type training for whatever professions interest you (but not an astronaut, i am sorry son you wont be that or a pro-ball player. - saying that in a nice way while encouraging strengths is the best way imho)

I'm really stupid in the math sector,as I haven't took any math courses in 5-6 years now..

So basically I have to re learn everything from algebra...,..

ya...

So what do you guys recommend me using, other than paying hundreds for tutors?

Basically the reason why the jap's are having issues, is that the pumping system/power is down.

We have floating power plants known as Super carriers(1-3)...and established the power to the original pumping units?

If the piping/pumps is gone to hell, why not use the carriers and ship some huge ass pumps, and pipes from china or wherever...in order to flood the reactor to cool it down? ?

Also if things become really bad, couldn't the folks take risks, and simply "Fling" the rods into the ocean?
