What does it mean if I can intuitively grasp calculus but not stats?
I took my stat midterm today and I left more than half of it blank (most likely because I didn't study at all and focused on bio, but that's not really an excuse)

What good is science out reach and education if most people cannot understand it because of biological factors (i.e. their intelligence)?
Has making education more accessible and providing resources on the internet made the average person or internet user more knowledgeable or intelligent?

is this a good reason to keep doing the phd? started this fall. I work as a researcher at a national institute (not US) and the pay is decent (for not-US). the main drawback is that I could be making about 50% more in industry but then I'd have to actually work.
