I'd have to agree, mostly because it still uses the supposed date of the birth of Christ as Year 1. A truely neutral system would have a date that had nothing to do with religion.

The most interesting one I've see is on a personal webpage -- the guy uses the birth of Galileo as Year 1. You could probably use the Roman AUC dates, though that seems kinda Western Centric. Maybe Confucius or something. A system using the name of the most advanced civilization at the time -- like (Rome 150) would work (based on the older Japanese system of naming eras after Emperors), but it seems complicated, and choosing the most advanced is probably too political for use.

I've sort of started a self education project. What I want to do is teach myself the basics of all subjects -- LIt, Math, Sciences, Philosophy, etc.

But the problem for sciences is that I want to get a good background in harder sciences, physics/chemistry and possibly astronomy. I just don't know where to start with this.

I'm assuming that math of any stripe is going to require calculus and trig. (which I'm assuming cliffnotes aren't the best source for), but as for sciences -- I'm not sure.

Now everyone can go home and OP can stop doing his "unconscious" psyops.
