Hey /sci/,

Has anyone here ever successfully made a creationist accept evolution? I got into a debate with my dad today about it. He's not a hardcore 7-day creationist, but basically stated that God put humans on earth pretty close to our present form. I debunked many of his arguments such as:

>But why are der still monkeys?
>Where's duh missin link?
>Why can't we have babies with monkey's if there our cousins? Herp Derp

All of my answers went one ear and out the other. I told him that evolution is a scientific fact and you can either choose to accept it or deny. There is no "belief" in evolution. But I felt like it was a waste of energy.

TL;DR: Is it possible to make a creationist accept evolution or is it like teaching a dog to speak spanish?

Mathfags, my last two hours have been hell.

I know this is so simple to do intuitively, but I need a rigorous criticism of the argument (where these are convergent real sequences and n a natural number greater than or equal to 1):

{ [ 1 + (1/n) ] -> 1 * 0 = 1

=>

{ [ 1 + (1/n) ] ^n } -> 1^n = 1.

It's clear this shit ain't right, because the simplification of the bottom expression yields:

(n + 1)^n / n^n,

which sure as HELL doesn't converge to 1, because the power n ensures that the small difference between n and n+1 grows exponentially, indicating an increasing sequence.

I just can't put this into a rigorous form. I tried proving that the sequence increases, but that was an algebraic clusterfuck.

I know this is way easier than it feels, but my brain is just so full of fuck right now.

It makes his arguments so much stronger.

Sounds to me like you have knowledgeable about health as you are not bringing any information to the table. The only thing a vegetarian doesn't eat is meat. And the only thing that meat has that most plants don't is protein and some minerals. And for your information I did go to the doctor. He is the one that said we only need one serving of protein a day. I usually get two because I like to maintain a bulky build. GTFO
