Why yes indeed I am an anal-yst. I like all kinds of anal. Real anal, complex anal, functional anal.
But I am sorry, I actually lied about being a PhD and a fields medalist. But you know what they say, dress up for the job you want, not the job you have. So I lie to strangers on this Serbian motorcycle forum about the job I have in the hopes that it will become my job in the future. Anyway, peace.

ALL WRONG

100 / 3 = 33.333...

3 x 33.333 = 99.999 <--- This is WRONG
3 x 33.333 + ... = 100 <--- This is RIGHT

Brainlets.

Who here realizes that climate alarmism is just a sad attempt at self preservation and actually supports climate change knowing that in 100 years we can fix it? Who here knows that a 2 degree global increase in temperature will not only kill the fishing industry but it will render most of the continent of Africa and huge parts of the middle east unfarmable due to the extreme seasonal temp swings and borderline uninhabitable due to the changing habitable zones of deadly animals such as the tsetse fly?

Even if the global temp increases by 5 degrees and sea levels rise by 500 feet I'll be completely fine and can live off the land for 40+ years. Meanwhile all the coastal city faggots are going to drown and massacre each other for food and half the Africa will starve out because no ones going to send them food for free lmfao.

>Does anyone genuinely have trouble with pointers?

You'd be surprised. Lots of CS kids (at the so called #5 CS school in the US, mind you) coming in from just a Java or Python introductory class have a hard time grasping the full implications of the mere existence of pointers, just from the fact that their understanding of computer architecture at that stage is extremely limited. Of course, that is expected since the whole point of the Python interpreter or the JVM is to remove memory management from the equation entirely.

>It's such a simple concept. If you understand array indices you understand pointers.

Everyone is told that array names and pointers are the same in C - but there's also a few other intricacies with that that hinges on your understanding of labels and ASM.

This book is particularly insightful when it comes to elucidating the difference between pointer variables and array names (chapter 4). Also, it goes into details as to how N dimensional arrays and pointers work, and how they are passed into functions as arguments - which isn't as trivial as one might assume.

There's also more to pointers than arrays - you can have pointers to functions too. Try explaining to a Java guy that functions are data and can be pointed to as such.

He will probably try to assign a function pointer to a function by dereferencing the function name...
