An effect similar to multipath acoustics is echoing or reverberation/ To see the effects of an echo in an acoustic signal consider the simulation of echoes on the handel.mat signal y[n]. Pretend that this piece is being played in a round theater where the orchestra is in the middle of two concentric circles and the walls on one half side are at radial distances of 17.5 meters and 34.3 meters from the orchestra. The speed of sound is 343 m/s. Assume that the recorded signal is the sum of the original signal y[n] and attenuated echoes from the two walls so that the recorded signal is given by r[n] = y[n] +.8y[n-N1] + .6y[n-N2].

where N1 is the delay caused by the closest wall and N2 is the delay caused by the further wall. The recorder is at the center of the auditorium where the orchestra is and we record for 1.5 seconds.

a) find the values of the two delays N1 and N2. Give the expression for the discrete time recorded signal r[n]. The sampling frequency Fs of handel.mat is given when you load it in MATLAB.

b) Simulate the echo signal. Plot r[n]. Use "sound" to listen to the orginal and echoed signals.

>A child's pool is 8ft diameter.
>Its filled to a height of 1 foot.
>You need to increase the heat of the water.
>How much water would you need to add?

I got 2.98 Megajoules to raise the temperature of the pool by 1 degree C (after conversions). I want to see how off I am.

Guys, I am on at least 400 milligrams of caffeine right now. For the past five or so hours, I have found my mind racing with billions of thoughts and ideas. Additionally, I've reached the point of having muscle spasms so bad I cannot sleep.

This is the pro and con of uppers, I guess. Right now I'm trying to detox a little bit, but not enough to where I fucking crash since in one and a half hours I have to drive for three hours, and I don't want to risk killing someone.

But I realize now that caffeine has been a double edged sword for me, allowing my mind to flow freely but explaining my mad insomnia. I guess it's my own fault, for not reading the labels on packaging that showed the caffeine content for a tea packet as 60mg per serving, and each packet having 2 servings, multiply that by two packets, and add a 40 ounce soda pop on top of that. Fuck, I'm typing really fast.
