1. How many permutations are there of the letters in the word RELATIONS, if the vowels must be in alphabetical order?

2. In how many ways can the 11 members of a soccer team line up, if the captain and assistant captain must remain together?

I have a Master's degree in biochemisty from Northwestern plus a few years of experience (pharmaceutical industry) and I still can't seem to make even $60,000/year. Are things really that bad or am I not trying hard enough?
