Not OP. No I didn't. I said to try operating a drinking straw. You know, like the ones your juice boxes come with.

>what is it that you think occurs when a rocket engine is in operation?
Are you actually implying that rockets explode to fly? That's fucking hilarious. No, when rockets explode people die and it gets plastered on every news agency in America. Elon is a pro at it.

Governments and corporations cannot be trusted to take humanity to the stars. (sounds familiar?)

It's happening.
Post ideas.

In the name of science, we dare face the consequences of failure, and even when they hit us, we keep on advancing.
In the name of discovery, we are willing to risk our lives, and even when they are taken from us, we learn from our mistakes and strive forward with giant steps, in honor of those who will not be alive to witness humanities first steps on mars.

Shuttles are expensive as fuck, not only in fuel, but construction and service as well, and unsafe, tiniest fault with a shuttle is likely to result in a catastrophe.

they are fragile as fuck and have to go trough extreme situations like atmosphere exit and re entry.

An elevator moves much slower, and because of this, it wont encounter even a fraction of the force and stress a shuttle goes trough.

To put it simply, with an elevator, going to space would be as safe and simple as, well, riding an elevator
