I'm in high school and have a paper due on Crystal Engineering. Well really it's about crystals, but I'd like to include a section on current applications.

The problem is that when I go through the websites for two of the main journals for the field, the articles are all about very very specific problems (let alone the fact that I understandably can't understand a word of it). What I really need is some broad information on on the subject, and I need conceptual questions answered like "what makes crystal engineering different to ordinary material engineering".

Where would you propose I begin?
