So we all know about those 3 super-earths but information is a little vague.

My question is, why can't we/how long before we can detect life or objects in orbit of such planets.

For example, Earth has countless amounts of satellites in orbit and is brightly illuminated at light - would such anomolies not be easily detectable on other planets?

What would happen if two single particles of the same nature where fired at each other and collided with enough force to overcome the force holding them apart, would there be a possibility of them melding into the plasma we saw near the first parts of the big bang?

3. From this fruitful principle, we may draw this further conclusion, that it is no injury to the internal or national industry and production to buy and import commodities from abroad; for nothing can be bought from strangers, except with native products, which find a vent in this external traffic. Should it be objected; that this foreign produce may have been bought with specie, I answer, specie is not always a native product, but must have been bought itself with the products of native industry; so that, whether the foreign articles be paid for in specie or in home products, the vent for national industry is the same in both cases

4. The same principle leads to the conclusion, that the encouragement of mere consumption is no benefit to commerce; for the difficulty lies in supplying the means, not in stimulating the desire of consumption; and we have seen that production alone, furnishes those means. Thus, it is the aim of good government to stimulate production, of bad government to encourage consumption

I'm having trouble visualizing this problem

An airplane can cruise at 255 mi/hr in still air. If a steady wind of 46 mi/hr is blowing from the west, what compass heading should the pilot fly in order for the true course of the plane to be north (0 degrees)? Compute the ground speed course.

/sci/ I need some help with this physics homework.

This is what I am given, I have created 2 equal charges on two spheres, I have taken measurements for different seperation distances and measured a force between them. I know coulombs law and constant, how do I determine the charge on each sphere graphically?
What do I put on the X and Y axis??

Once every hundred years, there is a day you can write out as 10/10/10. in the 21st century, that day falls this Sunday, and to mark the occasion Eames Office will be celebrating Charles and Ray Eames’s classic Powers of Ten with screenings, events and the launch of a new website and educational initiative. originally released in 1977, the short film (below) puts things in perspective by zooming out from a picnicking couple in Chicago to the outer fringes of the known universe…
