I have a little sister who is in year 7 in Australia. She took part in nationwide tests for numeracy and literacy. She scored at the national average for literacy and numeracy but was well below her school average for that year level. Since she attends a private school this is a failure in my opinion. Does anyone know what to do to improve a young students scores and grades in general? I don't want to pressure her and make her cram but I would like some exercises to gently push her upwards so that she can graduate with a really good mark.

I'm assuming that in question one t is supposed to be n. E.g the sum of a1 + a2 + ... + an.

Then d = 4. So to find a12 we do:
a12 = 8 + 4(11)
a12 = 8 + 44
a12 = 52

Then we find the sum:

S12 = 12(60)/2
S12 = 360

How do you keep yourself motivated? I see all these people around me do amazing shit and come up with new ideas, and still I can't amount to any of that. I realize that it takes a lot of work, but I can't even get started. Learning is one of my hobbies, and even that goes rather slow if I'm not prompted from some outside source (i.e college).

Do you have any advice or tips on how to in general be more productive/ambitious etc. since most of the time I find myself daydreaming and planning instead of actually doing. It's one of those problems that's easy to locate but hard to fix.

/sci/ related because of ambitions etc.

Hello /sci/

Are there many marijuana smokers around here?
How do you find marijuana effects your study habits?
How about your study ability?

I'm interested as I've become aware that my son has taken to smoking marijuana, I'm of the opinion that its his own business, but I'd be interested to know how it might effect his studies.

Pic related.
