long as someone is alive, "you" are not dead. but when you (as in individual person) die, you won't be alive again unless this universe happens pretty much exactly the same way again.

I see it like this: because we are here now, we must have been here before because of eternity. if you will live this life again, your free will allows you to make this life as good as you can, an infinite number of times over.
