Imagine being the authors of that paper and having your interesting work on condensed matter and quantum information be misrepresented by this garbled mess of pop sci pseudo-philosophy.

She was extremely vanilla when it came to anything related to sex. Was a good time but her constant need for attention and validation became exhausting.

If you're studying physics, your class should be chock full of them. Aim for the ones that dress in clothes that could probably double as pajamas, wear no make up and are extremely shy.

That's a really interesting idea, but before I discuss it I wanna say that I don't think Erdos' use is comparable to undergrads using it to cram for their calc I exams. In a perfect world, school would be purely an institution for learning, but I feel like it's also kind of a shit-test for your ability to learn, manage your time, handle stress, etc. The "unfairness" feeling comes from the fact that your grades actually matter because people take them as indicators of ability, and I almost feel like people that use amphetamines "spoof" the high grades without actually honing the aforementioned skills (which is only a problem because people PERCEIVE high grades as an indicator of work ethic etc).

Anyways aside from just using it for school, I see your argument for using it for things that actually matter. Most grad students wouldn't even fill that criteria, they aren't usually working on anything legitimately important (just look at how many citations a typical grad student's papers will pull, despite being a cornerstone of their PhD)

But what about engineers at important companies, or pharma chemists, or actual impactful mathematicians like Erdos? I've once heard that surgeons use amphetamines all the time - I'm not sure if it's true, but I'm not really against the idea. One thing to think about is that only math still has "rockstar scientists" - to get similar effects you'd have to gear up the entire lab or crew in other fields.

Because different people have different, and sometimes totally opposite, definitions of what the optimal societal/economic/political structures would look like

Whenever i search biophysics I just get the bare bones definition of "physical laws applied to biological systems". But I want to more than. So, actual biophysicists or those who know allot about the field, what are some research topics, what are fundamental concepts, ect. Also i love maths, so would biophysics have heavy math application like theoretical physics?

so we have the sheet demonstration where you put a ball on a 2d plane and watch it bend the sheet in 3 dimensions. if this was to be taken at face value, it implies that gravity curves 3-dimensional space in 4 dimensions.
now, the 3d-bent sheet is surrounded by air. if gravity curves space, what does it curve space into? is it just 4-dimensional empty space or something else?
