Quantum chemistry is focused on problems of concern to chemists (namely, characterizing the electronic structure of molecules) while largely ignoring many problems which may be of more concern to a physicist or engineer. Among quantum chemists, some may be better acquainted with "post-HF" wave function methods while others are more interested in density functional theory, though most should have at least a passing familiarity with both; on the other hand, only some physicists and (to my knowledge) a negligible subset of engineers will typically care about any of the above. Nonetheless, any one of the aforementioned groups may find helpful tools or context when studying quantum mechanics from the perspective of another discipline. That is our intent with Hall.
