I was recommended on the KSP forum with "Cosmos" by Carl Sagan, "Astronomy: A Self-Teaching Guide" by Dinah L. Moche and "The Grand Design" by Stephen Hawking.
Also, you can visit Wikipedia to read about basic things or the NASA site, there are tons of stuff.

and yes i recommend crashing seminars for food but only if it's relevant to your research/division (i unironically enjoy infectious disease seminars tho)

if i go to a neuroscience seminar i'd just look like an asshole kek
