Hey /sci/. I'm going to admit it - I was an idiot, and I've fucked things up for myself. I didn't know what I wanted from school and I smoked too much weed and it was stupid. I left school with grades mostly around the D/C/B mark, when I know (and my teachers and parents knew - and said it many times) that if I'd have put in the effort I could have gotten As. I didn't know what I wanted to do, and so instead of going to college I got a shitty job in a shitty office, and three years later here I am.
My question is this; for those of you who work in Institutes of Science, do you employ people without a university education?
I just think I'd find it easier to enjoy the admin/clerical work I'm good at, if I was working for an institution that I had any sort of interest in whatsoever. Right now I'm working in private pensions. I don't give a fuck about private pensions. I want to work somewhere I care about.

Pic outdated.
