Resident here. Throughout life I've had bouts of depression where I'd wake up every day for a week or more and wish I hadn't. I would sit there and contemplate the best way to end my life. Other times I have bursts mental energy where I simply cannot stop thinking and cannot sleep. Sad thing is that I am happily married and did incredibly well in school.

You know what I refuse to do though? Take any of that fucking shit that psych prescribes. You know what people are the most fucked up in the head? The people who takes those medications long term. Psych literally just throws shit at the wall and hope it sticks. The patients are miserable and often become drug addicts.

My advice is to quit taking whatever they plan to give you because depression and hypomania are a part of life, no different than aches and pains of getting old. It doesn't matter how great your life is, you will get them. Get through it, live your life, ignore the symptoms.
