Lmfao me too. That said I actually do have a pretty good handle on stats and ML because I did a fair bit of research in those subjects in uni and put out papers, however knowing how to ask the right questions/how to explain results to execs in an easily digestible manner is more important for this type of work imo. This requires confidence though.

tl;dr get familiar with R and learn2flexdashboard so you can give the execs a good dashboard which frees up time to do more interesting analysis

Why can't I eat a normal sized meal? I've noticed and had many people point out I eat slow as shit and less than a normal amount ( I can eat a constant amount throughout the day so its like my "dietary bandwidth" is narrow). I've also had three instanced where I've vomited after meals, the food usually makes me feel extremely drowsy and nauseous and drowsy until a throw up a few times and my body feels completely normal again. Parent has acid reflux if that narrows anything down.

This what I'm doing, I'm taking the Probability exam next week. I study Econ+Stats as well, and if you go to a good uni and take the right classes much of the exam material is covered, though you'll have to put in a good bit of time studying for the exams outside of class work. If you pass all the exams you can make some serious money, especially if you have very basic social skills or are very good at acting like you do. It's a good profession for the stealth autist, such as myself.

Education system has to be responsible for a portion of the blame. The vast majority of early mathematics courses don’t even begin to adress proving anything. Simply ‘take my word that this formula I told you works all the time.’

One also has to consider social factors. For whatever reason, its highly common for people to brag about being ‘so bad at math.’ Its a badge of pride for them. This is perpetuated by meeting more people who are ‘bad at math’ thus preventing them from putting effort into improving.
