the following is a coupled linear system:

{dx/dt = 3x - 12y + 48z
dy/dt = -30x + 105y - 408z
dz/dt = -8x + 28y - 109z
}

I have to find the general solution to that.

I got MATLAB to give me the eigen vectors.

but i don't know what do now. i have a suspicion it has something to do with some identity and sines and cosines.

To a physicist as myself, reading research about IQ and intelligence sounds like the theory of how gobbledy gook influences higgledy piggledy.

The obvious conclusion I drew from this is that a couple of billion years ago a galaxy was teaming with life in a star-wars esq manner, and now we're receiving the garbled mix of seemingly nonsensical radio transmissions, distorted by a mix of dispersion, interference, the expansion of space, and an encryption we don't understand know even if we could translate their ancient languages.
