Hai /sci/. Need your opinion on areas where mathematics fails miserably. I was watching a N. Taleb lecture and he brought up Confirmation bias and some faggotry on how mathematicians tell you what math does for you but ignore what it doesn't do for you (actually he was ranting on experts but started with mathematicians) and how the stuff that can be mathematized is only ''minute''.

On a separate note, was wondering what stuff like Thurston's... uh.. what Perelman solved, can be used or could be used for (practical application)

Also, inb4 pure math is it's own reward (agreed) and alll that crap.
