The only design I would accept and kind of respect, without the uncanny valley syndrome, would be a bigger version of Nao, maybe around 1.5 m.

It has an acceptable mix of anthropomorphic human look, fortunately a totally not-uncanny face, some cuteness, some scifi-look and some seriousness as robot.
