I'm having trouble remembering how to do algebra 2, since it was a long time ago. Essentially I have an initial concentration of a solution, and I need to add a certain amount of solution to bring it back to an isotonic amount. I really don't remember how to do it though, besides guess and check.

Ex. Person has 248.768 mOsm/L concentration of fluid in body. How much 2.5% NaCl solution should he be given IV to bring him back to 300 mOsm/L?

I know it is less than 10, but beyond that I am not sure how to set it up algebraically.
