Exactly.

That's true - but its not always the teachers' fault. Their scope to actually teach is limited by curriculums and administrations.

My kids are learning Hypothesis testing with Student t-distrubtions, Simplex method for Optimisation, Game Theory, Binomial Probability distributions and introductory Calculus at age 14. But it depends on the teacher - and if they're willing (and supported) in teaching beyond the limited curriculum they're given by the state.

bad news, the alcubierre drive probably won't work

as you start surpassing C (relative to an outside observer) in your little warp bubble, virtual particles from the quantum foam at the very edge of the passing warp bubble start getting pulled apart, one of them radiates into the spacetime bubble like a bat out of hell.
now consider how dense the quantum foam is with virtual particles.

the entire warp bubble turns into a radiation oven, everything inside vaporizes

<-- like this, except horrible

okay /sci/
I want to do something with my life
in other words, I want to make a lot of money

I'm fairly good at 'inventing', I have a nack for understanding physics concepts
I've 'invented' an ungodly amount of totally random shit, I think of something probably every week

The problem is I'm not focused, I have no direction, and my actual understanding of science is sadly very Very underdeveloped.

So here's what I'm asking, what type of science should I devout money and time into learning that either lacks a lot of innovation or simply has a lot of room for new innovation? Disregard statistics concerning the average salary with a person with a working knowledge of any science subject, this is more about freelancing for money.

>I'D ALSO LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR INVENTIONS
I don't hear about people inventing things often so I don't know if the trait is common and everybody is hiding their ideas or if I might actually be good at something.

i kind of want to build one of these in my back yard now.
it's self limiting so there's no need for containment

i could probably get an old shipping container and just put everything in there. it could power my house easily

why are you closing doors that could easily be opened and explored? get out there and learn"

No, it's a model jet. It'll crash into the dumbass 12 year old that put it on the treadmill and he'll cry until his mother comes and gets him an ice cream. TRIPLESCOOP NIGGAS.

Sorry for spam but /sci/ didn't clear things for me.
-calculus-
-functions-
-Modifying a Relation-
In my book it says
function is a relation which every element in domain maps to one element in the range.
It then says in a function its okay for two or more values of the independent variable to map to a single value of the independent variable. But it is not okay for a single value of the independent variable to map to two or more values of the dependent variable.

Wtf does it mean by independent values mapping to independent values???

I thought it was mapping between dependent and independent.

I promise /sci/ Ill be done for the night after I figure this out.
