>"we don't know"
This is anti science not science.

Science:
1) We do not know what is going on here
2) So let me make up a theory that makes up magical entities like dark matter and dark energy who magically influence the world to make it this way
3)Get consensus!
4) Other guy has another theory that has other magical entities in it? Try to character assassinate him and start decade long shit throwing fests!

Dark Matter and Dark Energy are as valid as the ghost and demons cause sickens theory of medicine!

Science never says
>>"we don't know"
science makes up nonsense (a theory) to explain things it does not understand.

however science is self condemning since it parades the
>Actually it is OK to say we do not know

A lot of modern physics is taken on faith. Other scientists already did the experiments and we are taught they are correct. I don't have a problem with this because doing all of that myself would take years.
I know that radio waves and microwaves and X-rays exist because I have witnessed if I do not own technology that works using them that behaves in the way my knowledge of science expects it to. But I don't have firsthand experience that they are part of the same phenomenon as visible light.
What experiment can I perform at home to show that they are all parts of light instead of each of them being a separate phenomenon?

Joining MENSA is an IQ test. If you've paid money to join then you've failed the test.

No one knows for sure, there are a bunch of ideas why we might need it but there's no consensus.
One idea is that it has to do with memory, because people (and lab mice) prevented from going into deep sleep exhibit signs of shitty short term memory. (mice for example perform poorly in mazes).
