Hello /sci/. I'm currently making a B2 certificate in english, so I won't have to attend classes next year and can choose a different language to learn.
Basically my options are:
a) nothing
b) english, but without exam (which I don't want, because it would be a waste of time)
c) french (never tried)
d) german (which I've learned a little, but still suck)
e) spanish (not really interested in)
f) russian (might be easy for me, because I live in Poland, but I don't like it somehow)

So I'm stuck between german and french, leaning towards the latter. I'm also planning to learn japanese and latin in the near future, but unfortunatelly there are no classes.

My question (and TLDR version):

What is the best language to learn, when aiming in astronomy/robotics Ph.D? Which one is the most enjoyable to learn? For example learning german was a pain in the ass for me, despite it being rather easy.

Hello guys.

Do you use certain programs to support your studying in one way or another?
Does someone have a couple good programs I've missed?

Currently I'm using flash card software (Anki is the program of my choice) and mindmap software (freemind is excellent).

Anything else that could come in handy for a prospective college student?
