erm, you can measure red shift from far away stars, this indicates that they are travelling away from us. if the rate of red shift slows down, it implies that the universe is slowing its rate of expansion (after the big bang) and will eventually stop, and begin contracting, resulting in a 'big crunch' where the enture universe is pulled into a singularity again (like there was at the start of the big bang)
however ,we don't see this. by measuring the red shift, we see that the expansion is actually accelerating, which implies the universe will keep expanding forever, and will eventually result in heat death or 'the big freeze' as the temperature assymptotically approaches absolute zero.

because the lone magnet pulling the magnet on the wheel towards it at the start, will still be pulling the magnet after the wheel has spun it past. so it will be slowing down the wheel just as much as it was accellerating it.
so the lone magnet is pulling with equal strength both clockwise and anticlockwise, so the wheel will not turn.

yes, this, and as soon as the seals let water through in this case, boutancy on the left hand side increases, which is an upwards force and would slow down the generator, it would grind to a halt very quickly, and it would take a lot of anergy to constantly suck all the water back out of the left side, just as much if not more, as you would be making from the generator, so this is unfeasable.
