I don't really follow space shit that much but when SLS is done, itll be reusable right? It's been in development for close to 10 years I think so they surely wouldn't have it be a 1 time rocket that can't be reused right? Or once the 1st one is made they can churn out others in like a year or less no? What's the deal here I dont follow

Like, I get how you can perceive time differently (the whole moving away from a clock at the speed of light thing) but isn't a second just a second???? I was watching interstellar and the scene where they were on the water planet and said that an hour on the planet was like a few years or whatever, how does that work??? isn't a year a year no matter if youre traveling at the speed of light or near a gravity well? isnt time constant??? Explain to me please /sci/ I'm not a scifag but i am interested in this

Why do mnemonics work?
If something is hard to remember and you memorize an additional mnemonic for it, doesn't that demand more effort because you have to memorize more?
Why does it work then? Why does it make it easier?

Since the Hamiltonian of a system is an observable which can be measured with arbitrary precision, and the Hamiltonian depends on both momentum and position, doesn't that mean the position and momentum can be measured simultaneously with arbitrary precision?

Why do scientific articles contain words, terms and theorems that can't be found with Google, the largest storage of knowledge there is?

For example, I was reading some articles through yesterday and found these words
>exceptional point (optics related; zero google results)
>downstream (when talking about electric current, zero google results)
>non-Hermitian systems don't obey conservation laws (zero google results)

Pajeets and shitskins just making words up these days?

What I mean by this is that i believe there are certain things not all humans can do. Mainly physical things, like if you arent a great singer naturally, good chance you wont make money off of it, or if you arent super tall or athletic you will not be able to become a professional athlete. Is math similar in fashion where you need a certain way of thinking/disposition, or is it purely effort based where even a retard would be able to grasp the concept of higher level mathematics with enough effort, regardless of how smart he is? Does effort go that far or do you need something else entirely???

Can anyone think of a single system where something internal to that system improves upon the whole system, from the inside.

I can’t. Therefore science as it is conventionally conceptualized (humans internal to the universe improving upon the universe) seems to me to be a priori impossible. Either there is some part of the scientist which is nonphysical and is literally outside of the universe in a meaningful way, or the scientist is not improving anything through her efforts.

I'm not sure if I study mathematics because I like mathematics or because I subconsciously want to make others think that I'm smart.
