Guys feel like shit about not getting laid (as much as everyone else)? You think it's because you're uninteresting, or unattractive, or unappealing to them?

Well fortunately it's not exactly because of that. It's because women themselves just simply can't into science. They just can't. Whatever important breakthroughs or discoveries is just going to go over the heads of them, plain and simple. And whatever interests you have are just not going to click with them at all, they simply can't process the information, it's literally like speaking gibberish into their faces. I mean, come on, do you honestly think that Feynman and Einstein were able to get laid because they were scientist and intelligent? No, it's because they were famous for it, and dating a professor back then elevates one's social status, nothing about them being a scientist really, just being famous for it.

You're not exactly as unattractive, uninteresting, and/or unappealing as you may think. Women just, by nature, aren't intelligent to understand you, thus no ability to relate to anything you say, or care. They can't into science, engineering, and/or mathematics. Plain and simple, plain and simple.

>meet cute girl who's really cool on Friday
>have a good, long conversation over text
>included a variety of subjects between you two
>mention that she and I should go see a movie and get something to eat, or both, some time
>she replies "Definitely. I'm always down for a movie and some good food."
>reply with "Oh yeah? How does <movie> and <restaurant> sound?"
>conversation stops there, she never replies
>this was yesterday

basically just got rejected here and derpy derpy

So I'm thinking of getting an associates degree in chemistry out of having interest in it for some time now, but only recently have received enough time to pursue it, not to mention I don't really plan on getting a degree in it or any sciences in general, and would like to spend the last two years of college getting something worthwhile (since I've been only going here for fun).

What does /sci/ think (among your usual trolling)?

/sci/, if you're so smart, how come you can't explain E=cm² by way of poetry?

What are good alternatives for Pristiq (Desvenlafaxine) and Seroquel (Quetiapine)? I need meds like them, but a few of their side effects are undesirable for me.

What's a good alternative to Seroquel? I've seem to have gain weight on it, but I definitely need antipsychotics like Quetiapine and of such.

Can humans even survive going at 99% light speed in ships that go, uhh, at about that speed? Like in the future or something? Or is my friend going on another one of his drug-induced rants after reading the article in title above?

... I'm pretty sure going at even close that speed can kill an organic being...

What causes paranoia? I mean are there physical causes to paranoia for someone? Like a lack <insert substance normally found on the human brain here> or two much of it or something? Etc.?

In 10th grade my history teacher was going on a rant about the nuclear arms race between the USA and the USSR, and claimed we made enough nukes to take out the sun. But how many nukes really, if any, would it take to accomplish such a task? Or at least how many nukes would it take to launch at the sun in order to have even the slightest effect on it (what that effect is something I cannot even come up with right now)?

There should be a /reph/ - Religion and Philosophy board, a place to move all the religious and philosophical debates from /sci/ and other parts of 4chan.

What does /sci/ think?

Why is that successful people are often the most arrogant ones you'd ever meet? And vice versa? No good can come from mixing arrogance with success, but that seems like what happens everyday, the fucking douches.

Agnostics are wrong.

Just thought I'd get that off my chest (atheists suck too).

I'm an atheist that doesn't believe in moralиty. I'm not posting that to brag, I just want to know why is that such a problem with people? It's never a problem when I admit I'm atheist, it's never a problem when I admit I don't believe in moral-ity, it's when I admit both that people start giving me a hard time about it. And it's rarely from anybody religious I know, mostly from other atheists (maybe an agnostic or two) that give me trouble for this. What in the fuck is a big deal with my atheist/amoral belief when I put them together? It boggles my mind to be honest.
