>idea that our bodies, on the micro, are just composed of a series of electromagnetic wavelengths

Complete bullshit is complete bullshit. This is completely false. It is complete nonsense. It is demonstratably false on about a million different levels.

FUCK! why would you ever give a thought to such utter BULLSHIT?

What do you mean by "closed"? Again, shit defintions are shit. There are probably like 15 different types of "closure" as defined by mathematicans and physicists.

Just as there are many defintions of "infinite".

There are only 30 people watching the nobel prizes.

Let's change that.

>MFW People GENUINELY believe Einstein did not steal relativity

He did not do well in school and it has been proven conclusively that school is and infallible measure of intelligence regardless of which one you go to. He worked at a patent office so he could EASILY steal any theory he wanted to. He married his cousin like a creepy pedo. He could barely explain his theory to the people he presented it to. He got "his" calculations wrong several times. If he had really calculated those things he would have gotten them right on the first try.

And if you're still not convinced how come it took so long for him to do a grand unified theory WHICH HE NEVER COMPLETED. Because he was stealing it from hard working physicists in germany. Also, in those days it took months for things to travel from country to country. Maybe thats why his theory was not done? I am so fucking sorry but I can not handle being around people this stupid, when my proffesor says shit like "Hurr eisteen wuz smurt" I feel like smacking him across the face.

Ask a gifted individual anything.

I have a 105 IQ, I go to the best community college in town and have watched most of carl sagans cosmos. I also have an understanding of how mass causes the attraction of other planets.

I would not consider myself I genius but I am defiantly gifted especially since I am only 19.

Mathematical Methods for Physicists, 6th Ed - Arfken

Chapters:
1) Vector Analysis
2) Vector Analysis in Curved Coordinates and Tensors
3) Determinants and Matrices
4) Group Theory
5) Infinite Series
6) Functions of a Complex Varible I Analytic Properties, Mapping
7) Functions of a Complex Varible II
8) The Gamma Function
9) Differntial Equations
10) Sturm-Liouville Theory-Orthogonal Functions
11) Bessel Functions
12) Legendre Functions
13) More Special Functions
14) Fourier Series
15) Integral Transforms
16) Integral Equations
17) Calculus of Variations
18) Nonlinear Methods and Chaos
19) Probability

A typical physics student will be familar (have used) with most of the contents in a "math methods" book, before they have even taken a "math methods" course. The purpose of the math methods course is review and to fill in the gaps in a more formal setting (as opposed to just "discovering the math" along the way to solving a particlar problem in another physics course (happens alot)).

A simple relativity question:

A spaceship leaves earth and begins traveling to a relatively close star 1 light year away. It travels at constant speed .5c relative to the earth. How long does it take for the space travelers to get there in their frame? Is it not the same as the earth frame right?

Sci-fi is so stupid and unrealistic.
