Starting bioengineering this fall.

Will I actually use programs that will take advantage of using a Quadro or Fire GL?
If so, would a mobile workstation such as the Thinkpad W520 be worth the price?

Someone told me this riddle:
- Three guys rent 3 hotel rooms, paying 10$ each.
- The receptionist decides he charged 'em a bit too much & gives a 5 to the bellboy to give it back.
- The bellboy decides since they cannot divide a 5 by 3 to keep 2. He then gives 'em the 3.
-Now the question. Since each payed 10 and got back 1 each, then each payed 9. Therefore they all payed 27. The bellboy kept 2, thus they payed 29. Where did the 1 dollar go?

The answer I got was a stupid: "It's wrong wording and that confuses you.
.
Now. What exactly is wrong with the wording? And where? I suppose its some rounding up or base 10 problem.
