AHEM... *tink* *tink* *tink*
I have an announcement.
Time and Space do not exist.
Fields do not exist.
Numbers do not exist.
A valid argument for the non-existence of a dynamic luminiferous aether does not exist.

If it is the curvature of space and time,
1. Define space.
2. Define time.
3. What causes the curvature?
If mass/energy, then what properties of mass/energy cause the curvature and how do they do it?

If you have some other explanation that doesn't involve strings, extra dimensions, or wizards, please feel obligated to enumerate every detail of your reasoning and conclusion.

I'll personally stalk, abduct, drug, interrogate, torture, cross examine, and initiate all worthy volunteers into the mystery schools.
It is a great honor, you get your choice of hood or pointy hat, and you you get all of your blood replaced with actual babies blood using a dialysis machine. The first time is free, but that baby blood is gonna cost you the next time you want to get your fix.

Everything in the universe is a massive body.
Distinction between objects is still necessary for engineering, so compelling the argument that there is no distinction between objects isn't really helpful. However, it should be noted that all of the matter in the universe is composed of one fundamental unit, and that unit is an action of the medium. Matter is distinguished from the aether in that it is a special case of the aether, not that it exists wholly separate from it in origin.
A hydrogen nucleus is essentially composed of conglomerated vortexes in the aether, and all larger elements are composed of hydrogen nuclei.
A body is massive if it resists change in motion. Since gravitational/ electromagnetic waves do not traverse the entire distance of the universe instantaneously, meaning they encounter some resistance, we conclude that the medium which they traverse is massive.

I would just spitball a guess that wavelength is directly related to its mass but they aren't the same property. Sure, the wave an oscillator produces in the aether will cause inaccuracy in a measurement, that much is to be understood I should think. But that doesn't mean particles are able to transport instantaneously across arbitrarily large distances. The most fundamental parts of matter are particles with a Bohr trajectory resembling a toroidal coil, harmonic oscillators that produce a wave through collision with the aether. The speed of light is only a limit the same way that the speed of sound is a limit. The particles have a period of oscillation that corresponds to pressure or gravitational field intensity of this fluid medium.

Anyone with an associates degree in physics and some spare time to spitball ideas with their professor could come up with a convincing story about ufo technology. The island of stability predicted by the standard model, the idea that gravity propagates as a wave, and elementary ideals like perfect heat conductor/ insulator materials, these concepts were already floating around at the time. Since there is nothing technically preventing their existence, based on known physics, his story takes on a kind of plausibility in that it can't be dismissed as certainly false. Still, in science, a first person account is the lowest form of evidence, and to believe is to be a chump.
