So why did we decide to ban the detonation of nuclear weapons in space? Is it harmful to people on Earth? What if we put conventional rockets on the ship and pushed it passed the moon before using the main engine? It seems like a silly reason to limit a potentially useful method of space travel.

Science... the only show in town!

You should study microbiology and virology. I had similar interest but I had a few more like astronomy and quantum physics so I study astronomy/astrophysics, 3th year out of 7. Stupid education system in my country. Never really liked to discuss atheism... I'm agnostic atheist. Don't have any knowledge about viruses :(

Note-taking, /sci/. Classes start in about a month and I want to perfect my note-taking. Until now I've just been haphazardly writing shit down in notebooks with little organization. There must be a better way.

How do you take/manage your notes, /sci/?

I just got back from an antique mall that opened up near by. Bought myself an 1880's portable electroshock therapy machine for $125, talked the guy down from $200.

Are there any good documentaries that spend talking about the prospects and possible methods of human colonization of space? Additional internets to those who provide documentaries that are aimed at more knowledgeable audience than 5th graders (aka the general public)

The biggest remaining problems in biology:

1. Which exact processes are the material basis of consciousness?
2. Why did consciousness evolve?
3. How exactly did life first start on earth?
