But personally I think we, and all sufficiently advanced life in the universe, will go the matrix route. Why expend energy colonizing the stars just to toil on more untrodden dirt when we could instead build and live in a virtual paradise indistinguishable from reality except for the fact that your main mode of transportation is a shiny Charizard who you fly regularly to your planet of anime waifus who worship your 30-inch Hashirama-cell infused tree trunk dick as a living Aztec god like a bad 90s harem anime.
