Weird question about units:

Let's consider the velocity of 100km/4h, that means 100km every 4 hours.

100km/4h=x => 100km= x . 4h, so that means, x needs to be a measurement that multiplied by 4 hours gives 100km, 25km x 4h = 100km, why does the hour in the "4h" unit suddenly disappears and turn into 100km instead of 100km . h?
