Anything nuclear is bad! You can make all the videos you want, but until you somehow change that knee jerk reaction, no one is going to watch them.

Here from /g/ because I'm an idiot...

I remember reading about nuclear waste management on wikipedia about 5 months ago, and saw something about prototype plants in Europe that uses nuclear transmutation to process nuclear waste into safe waste, and generate a small amount of power at the same time.

Does anyone know about this? I can't find a reference to it anymore, is it bogus, was I just on crack that day? Does such a plant really exist? What's it called?

lets have a serious nuclear energy thread.
Do you think some countries should stop using this kind of energy? ill put an example, in Spain we produce around 16-20% of our energy from nuclear plants, but we also produce around 20% from wind power.
Do you think that countries with low percentaje of Nuclear should try to use it less?

ive got some questions about nuclear power.
1. How much would a small reactor cost to build?
2.How much time would it take to build a small reactor?
3. How much power would a homemade reactor give out?

I overheard some people talking about how they were all against the use of Nuclear technologies.

Is this a legitimate cause to be a part of? I thought they were just being ignorant.

Okay, /sci/ i know you guys hate engineers. But, what about nuclear engineering? How do you feel about that?
