It's amazing how some /pol/tards will blame the Koch brothers as overlords over everything that is not their bottom line. Paid shill, they shout.

Yet, Trump appoints Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury. Mnuchin, who was Executive Vice President of Goldman-Sachs, Mnuchin, who owned failed IndyMac (which settled out of court for millions for illegally foreclosed properties). And nobody bats an eye.

Trump didn't drain the swamp. He just moved the alligators in when everybody was looking the other way.

The closest thing we have for a replacement is algae biodiesel at a cost of $8US / gallon.

At that price, the world economy will shift away from globalization and consumer driven economies. Expect a World Depression as goods and commodities increase to 4x their price.

Food riots will be common worldwide. Solar will become economically viable, as will urban farming. As the US pulls its mobile infantry home (for lack of cheap airplane fuel), the world will destabilize.

Hopefully we'll be able to make it without a nuclear war. But then again

No. If you don't plan what you do, you will naturally lean towards the quick, easy things to do.

That leads to doing useless things, like deleting spam. Sure, its something to do, but not the most important.

Before you go to bed each night, prioritize your tasks. Do the important stuff first. It will save you a WORLD of hurt.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Colorado has been researching this problem for the last 30 years. Their research findings are publically available at nrel.gov.

Right now, biodiesel from algae is the most likely source to replace oil, assuming we still have coal and natural gas to smooth out the transition. Hydrogen fuel cells are also a prospect, but years away.

The problem is that biodiesel costs about $8 US to make per gallon. Kick in a 17% profit margin (Oil companies are companies, after all) and you get $9.60 per gallon US. You can convert it to liters if you like.

The last time gas in the US spiked, it rose to $4 a gallon. That increased transport costs, which triggered layoffs, which burst the housing bubble and resulted in a worldwide recession.

Now double that cost.

Peak oil is not a "theory" any more than the temperature at which water boils is a theory.

When you use a resource that is only replaced over millions of years, you eventually use it up. All the drilling technology in the world can't change that.

The world is already seeing the beginnings of peak oil, as Europe increasingly bases its energy needs on natural gas from Russia.

The collapse of the oil industry is peanuts compared to the collapse of industrialized farming. The world won't end with a bang, nor with a whimper. It will end with either Soylent Green or the Road.

Governments hardly need a giant conspiracy to increase taxes.

Drive a car recently?

You tell me how surrounding yourself with steel and moving forwards at great speed due to controlled explosions of dead dinosaur byproducts is natural.

No 13 year old, male or female, can hope to raise a child by themselves in the post industrial world. To expose them to that process is therefore cruel and should be illegal.

Sorry pedos. You lose.

> fear of being rejected
This is why the Israelis have it right. Every citizen out of high school is forced to serve 2 years in the military. Once you get shot at, you realize that the "fear" of getting rejected by a girl is bullshit.

Your fear is just weakness. Don't be weak. Ask her out. If she says no, fuck it. Show her what she's missing. Ask another girl out. It's the wallflowers at home playing Xbox that always grumble about the Chads.

I knew a physics student. He wanted to build atomic bombs.

I asked why. He said the pay was great, and if his work was ever tested, he never had to worry about whether or not it worked.

This is why I never argue ethics or God with a board made up of physicists.

> What the Fuck is the point?
- Guaranteed disease free
- Less cost than a girlfriend / wife
- Never says no, never has headaches
- Never argues or nags
- Never cheats on you with Chad Thundercock
- Latex vagina can be molded as tight as you like
- When vagina wears out, you can interchange part
- Doll never gets fat
- Cannot steal half your shit in divorce court
- Don't risk paying 18 years of child support for a kid that may not even be yours (see above re: Chad Thundercock)

The question is not what is the point.
The question is why the fuck wouldn't you?
