hey guys am i retarded? so my uni offers an engineering internship or two every semester but you can only take one of the uni internships per student so other people get a chance. this semester there werent really any proper ee internships, but there was an internship on some research on dealing with nuclear waste, and since i really want to go into the nuclear industry i applied in spite of it not being super relevant to my degree. it was open to electronic engineers to apply and i think i've unironically got a really good chance based on how well i know this professor but would it be retarded to take it? like is it completely retarded to waste the one internship i can get through the uni on basically a chemistry internship? that would be fucking dumb right? would it even help me get a job in nuclear? it's not even really engineering related as far as i can tell
