Let's say in theory that the 2012 massive solar flare did happen. there are three thing in my head that are what might happen to the world.
The first is me hating myself for even thinking about this, but it's one of those questions that you just gotta ask someone, just to get it out. The seconed one is that the solar flare would cause the Earth to be geologically unstable and be basically like that movie (name of movie is obviouse). And the third is that the solar flare would be a massive EMP and knock out all power in the world. And my question is: which would be worse?

I'm worried about solar storms, /sci/. Next solar storm is predicted to erupt in 2012. When this happens, the blast is so powerful that it will destroy electronic devices and at worst will cripple the societies that are dependent to technology. Is this something to worry about, or just another alarmist over-reaction?
