Ariane 5, almost certainly not
it was initially just Ariane 4 with Centaur-like big hydrolox upper stage
Ariane 6 in that scenario would probably be that H60 stage with new lower stage (probably kerolox, probably end up using (ex-)Soviet engine like Atlas III and V)

Soviets had so many excellent engines to pick from it's ridiculous and I don't think they would go with hydrolox first stage on their own
the fact Russians instantly abandoned hydrogen speaks for itself

H-II is harder to say
I imagine they would license whatever Americans would have been using instead of Shuttle.
