at that point i guessed the only reason why she wanted to study math is "women in STEM!" and her teaching ability showed that. She looked like a highschool student giving a presentation. She seemed so unconfident it felt like she was pulling stuff out of thin air.

Turns out she's a math professor at the University of Hawaii. The AMS should not be pushing this nonsense! Does anyone know why they're doing this.

I thought math was a meritocracy.
